Tired of the same old dock? We're looking for a Deck Master and Fish Whisperer to join our team, launching from the iconic, perpetually buzzing heart of the Florida Keys: Robbie's Marina! This isn't just fishing; it's a high-energy, customer-facing adventure role. If you can handle a deck full of excited anglers, know your knots like a secret handshake, and thrive on sunshine and saltwater, we need you on our crew!
Your Mission Briefing: The Master of the Manifest
As the Mate, you are the unsung hero who guarantees every passenger leaves with a great story (and hopefully, a full cooler). You are the ultimate facilitator of fun and safety.
- 🎣 Adventure Guide: You are the hands-on instructor! Expertly rig gear, demonstrate the perfect bait toss, and safely land everything from snapper to grouper. Your goal is to turn first-timers into fishing fanatics.
- ⚙️ Deck Dynamics: Keep the deck running like a finely tuned reel. Maintain a spotless, organized, and safe environment despite the daily high volume of traffic coming and through Robbie's busy marina.
- 🔪 The Cleaner Crew: After the trip, you are the Fillet Finisher! Efficiently and cleanly process (fillet and bag) the day's catch, ensuring customers take home only the best souvenirs.
- ⚓️ Captain's Reliable Anchor: Provide essential support to the Captain on all critical deck operations: flawless line handling during busy dockings, anchoring, and ensuring all gear is maintained for peak performance.
Your Sea Legs & Skills:
- The Right Mojo: You must bring a friendly, engaging, and patient personality. Customer interaction is key—you are part of the Robbie's experience!
- Hands-On Hustle: Previous boat, fishing, or physical deck experience is a huge plus. We need reliability and a robust work ethic.
- Knot-Tying King/Queen: Must be able to demonstrate basic fishing knots and rigging techniques, or be a fast learner!
- Stamina for the Sea: Able to work long hours, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Our busiest days are your biggest opportunities!
- Integrity Check: Must be drug-free (successful completion of a USCG mandated drug test is required).
